Routes de' India wasn't built in an office. It was forged on gravel, tracked across mountain peaks, and refined over late-night campfires.
We believe that the best stories aren’t found on highways, but on the paths less traveled. India holds an infinite tapestry of cultures, terrains, and micro-climates that cannot be truly experienced from a traditional tourist bus.
Our goal has always been simple: to empower adventurers with the knowledge, safe routing, and local connections required to explore the rawest corners of the country responsibly.
How we evolved from a duo of hikers into a nationwide movement.
Born out of a passion for raw, untouched landscapes, two lifelong friends set out to map the forgotten trails of the Western Ghats. What started as a personal diary quickly turned into a mission to share India’s hidden gems.
From the high-altitude passes of Ladakh to the dense northeastern rainforests, our community grew to map over a hundred safe, sustainable, and breathtaking routes for independent travelers.
We launched our local-host initiative, ensuring that every route explored directly supports indigenous guides, homestays, and regional conservation efforts.
Today, Routes de' India is more than a guide—it is a collective of thousands of conscious explorers redefining how we experience the subcontinent, one trail at a time.
The unwritten laws of every single route we chart.
Every turn, incline, and camping spot is thoroughly surveyed so you can push your limits without unnecessary risk.
We operate alongside remote communities, honoring their traditions and redirecting tourism revenue back into local hands.
The wilderness belongs to the wildlife. We advocate strict low-impact eco-travel to keep these routes pristine for generations.
Pack your gear, pick an unmapped destination, and discover the true pulse of the subcontinent.
